Batiste Dry Shampoo - Divine Dark

Dry shampoo -- the game changer!

I must admit I never tried dry shampoo until 2017. No...I hadn't been living on a rock, I just never thought it would work for me. I have naturally curly hair that is thinning and in order to get the volume I needed to hide my scalp, I needed to wash my hair daily.

That all changed when I started getting Xstrands® and found I was able to start straightening my hair again. If you have curly hair, you know how time consuming it can be to straighten it, so dry shampoo became my go-to way to prolong washing between blow outs.

It is easy to use - simply shake, spray and massage into your roots.

Pros: Its fast, gives you volume and covers any bald spots or wide set parts you may be trying to hide. It can prolong the life your blow outs and cuts down on time spent getting ready in the morning. You can pretty much buy it anywhere and its inexpensive. The product is also vegan friendly.

Cons: Expect a mess. The more you apply the more you will have to wash out. When massaging it into your scalp it gets into your nails but is easy to rinse off. Product rubs off on you clothes (think pulling a white shirt over your head) and onto pillow cases. If your significant other runs their hands through your hair, expect them to wondering why their finger tips are dark.

Overall, I love this product! I try not to use it daily, as there has been talk on the internet about linking some hair loss to this product. I would high recommend trying it out!! This is a must have in my hair care routine!

Thought - I have never been caught without an umbrella with this product in my hair, I would be concerned it would be running down my face. Has anyone had an experience like this? Share your story in the comments below, I would love to hear about it!
